Listen to the 2nd hour on 1/11/2011 which was the last show aired on KUSF of In The Soul Kitchen... it is uncanny how DJ HarryD unconsciously said Goodbye to the show and the station. This show was exactly one week before the shutout of the DJ's, the locks being changed and KUSF no longer existing on the 90.3FM frequency. Early into the 2nd hour DJ HarryD played Sackful of Dreams by Donny Hathaway and some beautiful gospel into Don't Play That Song 'You Lied' by Aretha Franklin. Further into the set began the "farewell" tracks:
I Can't Stand It - Dee and Don
I'm Gonna Miss You - Artistics
Hypnotize - Linda Jones
These Ain't Teardrops - James Carr
Drop On In - Mabel John
*** ending the 27 year run with OTIS REDDING I'm A Changed Man.
Listen to the show, note the lyrics... this one is/was a keeper!
Thank you HarryD for the MANY years of listening pleasure, your friend and fan, Lynn
Does anyone know how to contact Harry D? I'd like to know where he'll be now that the station's format has changed.
